CAN BE USED IN CASE OF

Ankle fracture, Grade II/III Ankle sprain / strain, Fracture of fibula, talus or calcaneus, Medial/ lateral malleolus fracture, Post ligament, soft tissue and tendon surgery, Forefoot or Midfoot injury, Post cast removal.

SCIENTIFIC DESIGN

The Pneumatic Walker Boot provides maximum support and stability to the ankle and is light weight and durable. Its Rocker sole design promotes natural walking and its unique shock absorbing sole reduces impact of heel strike during ambulation. The Front panel with inflated air cell provides complete protection and support. It helps in pressure offloading and enhances blood flow. The Double air valve offers pneumatic compression to promote callus formation over fracture site and reduce swelling, and the inflation can be customized to desired compression level with the air valve. The detachable soft cushion provides a comfortable perfect fit.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

• Front panel: High Density polyethylene.

• Nylon Velcro strap: Re-applicable for reverse buckle straining mechanism for easy to apply.

• Three layer Laminated Breathable material.

• Inflation pumps: Thermoplastic polyurethane.

• Outer Sole / insole: EVA / Rubber.

HOW TO WEAR

• Unfasten the straps in the front, remove front panel and open the foam liner

• In a seating posture, place the foot in the foam liner and wrap it around the leg preventing the possibility of wrinkle formation

• Now place the removed front panel, back on the brace and securely fasten the hook and loop closures from bottom to top

• To adjust the air cell pressure, squeeze the bilateral valves to inflate to your comfort.

• Do not over-inflate the air cells. Inflate until the brace is comfortable and securely fit

• To deflate the air-cells, press the button below the valve

• To inflate the liner, turn the valve counter clockwise; and to deflate the liner turn the valve counter anti clockwise

• Higher pressure gives more support while walking, lower pressure is more comfortable while sitting or reclining.

  Size Guide

How to measure

1. Choose the size of the product based on your shoe size

• Remove liner from the boot. Hand wash in normal water with mild detergent.

• Wipe shell with damp cloth.

• Allow liner to air dry completely before reapplying. Dry in shade on a flat surface.

What is the purpose of the Pneumatic Walker Boot, and how does it differ from other walkers?

The Pneumatic Walker Boot is designed to provide maximum ankle support and stability. Its unique features include

- A rocker sole for natural walking.

- Shock-absorbing sole for reduced heel strike impact.

- A front panel with an inflated air cell for complete protection and support.

The pneumatic walker also offers customisable compression with a double air valve, promoting callus formation and reducing swelling. This distinguishes it from other walkers, ensuring a tailored and comfortable recovery experience.

How does the single-hand walker contribute to pressure offloading and improved blood flow?

The single-hand walker plays a crucial role in pressure offloading and enhancing blood flow. By securely fastening the hook and loop closures from bottom to top, it helps distribute pressure evenly and promotes proper blood circulation. This design facilitates a comfortable fit and reduces the risk of wrinkle formation. The single-hand walker, combined with the overall design of the push walker, ensures effective offloading of pressure, contributing to a more efficient and supportive walking experience during recovery.

Can you explain the process of adjusting the air cell pressure in the Pneumatic Walker, and what role does the double air valve play?

Adjusting the air cell pressure in the Pneumatic Walker is a simple and customisable process. The double air valve allows for pneumatic compression, promoting callus formation over the fracture site and reducing swelling. To adjust the pressure, squeeze the bilateral valves to inflate until the brace is comfortably and securely fit. It's important not to over-inflate the air cells. Higher pressure provides more support while walking, while lower pressure offers increased comfort while sitting or reclining. The double air valve ensures precise control over the inflation level, allowing users to tailor the compression to their individual comfort.
